High performance lubricating grease for open gear transmissions, used in mining, quarry, Valvoline Earth Open Gear 3 is a high viscosity and extra adhesive lubricating grease, developed with a special thickener and extreme pressure additives to provide long term lubrication and protection at high and impact loads of open gears. Suitable for manual lubrication of open transmission gears, racks, ring gears and chain pulleys. Because of its high viscosity, extreme pressure additives and special thickener Valvoline Earth Open Gear 3 grease provides excellent adhesiveness and great mechanical and colloidal stability in slow moving heavy loaded open gears. Because of the nature of open gears this grease is specially developed to form a strong protective film ofthe grease to keep water and dust out to protect against high pressure temperatures, early oxidation and pre-mature wear. Valvoline Earth Open Gear 3 is recommended to be used in unfavorable conditions such as high and impact loads, vibrations, elevated operating temperatures and moisture.
